Arondight Broceliande
Rank: EX
Maximum Targets: –-
Range: –-
Classification: Territory
The Divine Light of the Lake. The peerless weapon forged of Nimue’s Lake, embodying its light and essence. While it shares its name with a certain other Arondight, this variant of it could be considered the original, a basis from which the other was forged. In its standard form, it presents itself as Nimue’s half-staff, half-blade relic, which she maintains on her person at all times, serving as a channeling tool for her spells.
However, when she calls upon its true name, the sword-staff shines with a dazzling light, encompassing all around her in a warm, healing light. Where the Knight of the Lake invokes Arondight’s name as a force of ever-flowing “destruction”, The Lady of the Lake channels the blade’s energy through “stagnation”. Amplifying the effects of her domain hundredfold, Nimue temporarily recreates a perfected facsimile of the mythical Lake. To all beings who are caught in this Noble Phantasm, the concept of an “Untouchable Lake” is imposed upon them: unable to move, unable to harm, unable to be stirred. For the instance of Nimue’s Noble Phantasm, not a single action can come to pass.
Lady of the Lake
Rank: EX
Maximum Targets: –-
Range: –-
Classification: Anti-Unit
The cosmic armory of peerless weapons that rests in the deepest reaches of the divine Lake. The twinkling abyss of swirling energy from which every fairy draws their armaments from. As a Great Mother, Nimue has the authority to draw from it, wherever she may be.
By unleashing the pure unbridled torrent of magical energy contained within her, Nimue can call forth her authority as the Lady of the Lake, temporarily summoning a portion of the “sea of stars” which serves as her forge and armory. From this swirling pool of mana, Nimue is a blacksmith, meticulously and swiftly crafting incredibly powerful weapons from the limitless mana supplied from the world itself.
The divine weapons Excalibur and Rhongomyniad were created from this method, but due to her own limitations as a Servant and time constraints, she is incapable of reproducing the same degree of relic. However, each and every weapon forged by the Sea is equivalent to a B-rank Noble Phantasm, with A-ranks being possible with more time. Though ultimately drawn from mental blueprints, every weapon created by Nimue is a genuine artifact; a true relic forged by the hands of the Lady of the Lake herself.
“...Call forth the sea of stars. Unveil thyself, O mysteries. Unveil thyself, O will of the world. Grant me my spears, my blades, for the time has come to reveal ourselves. I am Nimue of Avalon, the Great Mother of Broceliande. Call forth my final authority, and grace the skies and earth. I am the Lady of the Lake.”
Garden of Avalon
Rank: A
Maximum Targets: –-
Range: –-
Classification: Anti-Army
The pristine utopia in which the Magus of Flowers is imprisoned. A boundless valley of flowers dappled in warm sunlight. No matter what manner of hell Nimue finds herself in, the Garden will never fail to bloom.
Unlike the version Merlin calls forth which recreates his imprisonment, Nimue’s ownership of the Garden means she can activate it without forming the prison tower around her. It is not just that the environment of the Magus Merlin must be a land of hope, but the very concept of Avalon must persist as one. In a similar effect to her Lake, Nimue can impose Avalon’s paradisal properties onto the land, enriching and revitalizing everything around her.
While fundamentally similar, Arondight Broceliande and Garden of Avalon embody different aspects of utopia; where the Lake’s image reflects peace through stagnation, Avalon blossoms as endless “proliferation”, eternally sprouting new buds to extend its reach of paradise ever-changing and ever-flowing. Where Nimue’s Lake forces everything to stop, Avalon adapts without ceasing.
The applications of this Noble Phantasm can vary, but for Nimue, its primary use is to reconnect her Fairy Core back to a well of mana in cases of severance from the world. By applying the Garden’s layer over her location, she creates a pocket that links to the Garden itself, wherever it exists, allowing her to tap into its mana reserves when her own sources run dry.
